A watcher, 'cross the window flies,
Avoiding all of midnight's eyes,
To the room in which the child cries,

To tiptoe in, without a sound,
A weightless hop, a skip, a bound,

She stares into subconscious woe,
The child pursued by monstrous foe,
Forever chased to high, and low,

Her touch she lies upon his head,
As he lies sleeping on his bed,

From her hand, a gentle glow,
The seeds of dreams she starts to sow,
Which as they spread, away will go,

Inside his mind, a gentle scene,
With summer skies and fields of green,
and not a glance of it is seen,

She leaves the room at brink of day,
The keenest ears could hear her say,
I'll return soon to keep away,

Into night, she'll take to skies,
